Union City has 1 sewage plant, the Alvarado Treatment Plant under the Union City Sanitary District. It's located in a more industrialized part of Union City and it close to the bay water and the San Mateo Bridge.
I wonder if Union City needs to have more than one sewage plant. Also, I wonder if there's a benefit to have a sewage plant located in a more industrialized area.
Hi Christina, i think Krissy brought up a good point that maybe the city can benefit from having another treatment plant. I guess it's really depending on the amount of sewage there is and how efficient the current plant in treating all those sewage.
